Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – All eligible voters in the Halifax Regional Municipality are advised of two upcoming in-person advance polling dates for the municipal, Halifax Regional School Board, and CSAP elections.
Advance polls will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 (noon-8 p.m.), and Tuesday, Oct. 11 (noon-8 p.m.). To find your advance poll location, please review your voter information letter or check online.
If you cannot find your location, please contact the Voter Helpline at 902-490-VOTE (8683) or 1-844-301-VOTE (8683) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The alternative (e-voting and telephone) voting period continues until Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. In order to participate in e-voting or telephone voting, all eligible voters should have received last week a voter PIN along with additional instructions on their voter information letter. Residents not currently in possession of this letter must vote in person at either the advanced poll or on election day.
Residents are also advised of key upcoming dates in the electoral process:
Oct. 4-13: Alternative voting (phone and e-voting)
Oct. 8, 2016: First advance poll (in-person voting)
Oct. 11, 2016: Second advance poll (in-person voting)
Oct. 15, 2016: Election Day (in-person voting)
