Police Arrest Five after Drug Search

Five people face charges after a drug search yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit, assisted by officers from the Central Quick Response Unit, conducted a search of a residence in the 2400 block of Creighton Street. Five people were arrested without incident at the scene and the subsequent search resulted in officers seizing a quantity of crack cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Two male youths from Halifax and 18-year-old Dexter Mansfield also from Halifax were held for Halifax Provincial Court this morning and face charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. Twenty-two year-old Calandra Mansfield and 44-year-old Erica Mansfield, both of Halifax, were released and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to answer to charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
