Police arrest two people with outstanding warrants and lay additional charges

Police have arrested two people who were wanted on multiple arrest warrants and have also charged them in relation to a number of ongoing investigations.

On September 1, Halifax Regional Police sought the public’s assistance in locating Jason Roy Morgan,46, and Excie Priscilla Brady, 46, who were wanted on multiple arrest warrants.

At approximately 8:50 p.m. on September 10, members of the HRP Quick Response Unit located a stolen motor vehicle in the area of Peakview Way in Bedford. Officers arrested Jason Morgan and Excie Brady who were the sole occupants of the vehicle.

Morgan is facing the following charges in relation to six incidents that occurred between May 25 and September 10, 2021:

  • Break and enter (x6)
  • Possession of break tools (x2)
  • Theft under $5,000 (x3)
  • Theft over $5,000 (x1)
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000 (x3)
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000 (x2)
  • Flight from police (x2)
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (x2)
  • Failure to comply with a probation order (x1)
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking (x10)

Brady is facing the following charges in relation to three incidents that occurred between August 1 and September 10, 2021:

  • Break and enter (x2)
  • Possession of break tools (x2)
  • Theft under $5,000 (x1)
  • Theft over $5,000 (x1)
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000 (x1)
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000 (x2)
  • Failure to comply with conditions (x3)
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking (x6)

Both are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.

The investigations are ongoing and additional charges are anticipated. Police are asking anyone who has  information on incidents believed to be related to the two persons to call 902-490-5016.
