Police charge driver with impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm GO# 20-142209

UPDATE: Larry Uteck Boulevard is open to traffic in both directions following an earlier traffic accident.

On December 2 at approximately 10:07 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at 361 Larry Uteck Boulevard, Halifax. A vehicle collided with an unoccupied parked SUV on the street at a high rate of speed. Witnesses reported injuries to the driver and passenger. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital as a result of their injuries which are reported as serious but not believed to be life threatening.

The roadway was closed for a period of time during the night while members of the Halifax Regional Police Patrol, Collision Reconstruction and Forensic Identification Unit processed the scene.

The driver was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm as well as breaching a court ordered undertaking both violating the Criminal Code of Canada.
