Police charge four people for selling cannabis

Police have charged two men and two women for selling cannabis after a search of an illegal cannabis dispensary in Dartmouth yesterday.

Shortly after 10 a.m. members of the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search warrant at Green Street Wellness located at 1 Dundas Street in Dartmouth. Investigators seized over $1,400, in excess of three pounds of cannabis, over 200 other cannabis products, and two cans of sensory irritant.

A 41-year-old Cole Harbour man has been charged with:

  • possession for the purpose of distributing contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling contrary to section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possession of a prohibited weapons contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code
  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose contrary to section 88(1) of the Criminal Code

 

A 36-year-old Tantallon woman has been charged with:

  • possession for the purpose of distributing contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling contrary to section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possession of a prohibited weapons contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code
  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose contrary to section 88(1) of the Criminal Code

 

A 31-year-old Eastern Passage man has been charged with:

  • possession for the purpose of distributing contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling contrary to section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act

A 28-year-old Eastern Passage woman has been charged with:

  • possession for the purpose of distributing contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
  • possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling contrary to section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act

 

All four are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
