Police charge man in robbery GO#s 21-85416 21-85427

Halifax Regional Police charged a man in connection with a robbery that occurred on July 15 in Dartmouth.

At 8:45 p.m. on July 15 Halifax Regional Police officers were investigating a weapons call in the 0-100 block of Leaman Drive in Dartmouth whereby a man had brandished a knife at another man on a Halifax Transit bus. While investigating this matter, officers were approached by another man reporting that he had been robbed at knife point.

At 10:09 p.m. on July 15 a man was robbed of his bicycle at knife point in the vicinity of the 200 block of Albro Lake Road in Dartmouth. A man brandished a knife threatening another man and then fled the area with the man's bicycle. A 37-year-old man was located and arrested following the incidents.

The incident was investigated by the Patrol Division and a 37-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today on charges of Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault Police Officer, Breach of Probation, and Assault with a Weapon in relation to the two separate files.
