Police have charged a man and a woman in relation to the homicide of Vincent Lamont Beals that occurred last week in Dartmouth.

On December 16 at approximately 7:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a suspicious death at a residence on Kennedy Drive. Officers found Vincent Lamont Beals, 47, deceased inside the residence. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.

Yesterday at approximately 12 p.m. investigators from the Special Investigation Section, along with the RCMP Emergency Response Team, arrested a man and a woman in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia without incident.

Today, police charged Tyere Divell Brushett, 27, with first-degree murder and three breaches of a court order and Tatiana Faye-Anne Cox, 20, with accessory after the fact to murder.

At this time, investigators believe this is not a random incident and they are not looking for any other suspects.

Our thoughts remain with Vincent’s family and friends on the loss of their loved one.
