Police charge three men with robbery

Police have charged three men in relation to two separate robberies that occurred earlier this year.

Om March 28 at approximately 8:30 p.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred on Nantucket Avenue in Dartmouth. Two men, who were with a larger group, approached a man, threatened him and then assaulted him. The victim was able to flee the area and did not require medical treatment.

As a result of the investigation, officers identified the suspects and arrested the two men in Halifax without incident. Justin Jay William Tecomba, 23, and Sebastien Cyril Kafka, 24, are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court to face one count each of robbery. Kafka is also facing one count of failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order.

On April 4 at approximately 10 p.m. police responded to a call for a robbery in progress at the Kwik Way convenience store located at 486 Herring Cove Road in Halifax. A man came into the store, produced a knife and demanded money. The suspect fled the store with a quantity of cash.

As a result of the investigation, officers identified the suspect and arrested him in Halifax without incident. Joseph Charles Dean Pellegrini, 25, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court to face one count each of robbery and possession of a weapon.
