Police charge two people following drug investigation

Police have charged two people in relation to a drug trafficking investigation in Halifax.

On July 15, investigators in the Guns and Gangs Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of officers assigned to the Drug Unit, conducted a traffic stop on Cunard and Robie streets in Halifax. Investigators seized a quantity of cocaine, two cell phones and a sum of money.

A 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested at the scene without incident. Both men were scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court this morning to face charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
