Police conclude investigation into suspicious death

Medical Examiner Office has determined that a Halifax man’s death in May is not suspicious.

On May 6, at approximately 10 a.m., police responded to 2170 Barrington Street to a report of an unresponsive man. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man’s death was treated as suspicious and investigated by the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division in conjunction with the Medical Examiner Officer. On July 3 the Medical Examiner Office confirmed with investigators that they had completed their investigation and deemed the man’s death not to be suspicious. As a result, the Integrated Special Investigation Section has concluded its investigation into this matter.

Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased.
