Investigators in the Vice Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have concluded their search for 71-year-old James Cuthbert who has been missing since October 26. Based on the investigation in relation to this missing person file, investigators believe Mr. Cuthbert went overboard while on the ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland overnight on October 26-27. Foul play is not suspected. We extend our sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Cuthbert. We also thank the media and public for their assistance with this matter over the last two weeks.
