Police continue to investigate 2005 disappearance of Shen Chiu “Andy” Tsou

Today is the 15th anniversary of the disappearance of Shen Chiu “Andy” Tsou and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

Andy was a resident of Richmond, British Columbia and was last seen in Halifax on June 26, 2005. He knew numerous people in Halifax and elsewhere in Nova Scotia and had been staying at the Halifax Casino Hotel and other private residences prior to his disappearance. Andy had booked a room at the Halifax Casino Hotel for the night of June 26, 2005, however, he never arrived. On June 30, 2005, a family member reported Andy missing to police. Andy was driving a 2005 white Pontiac Grand Prix while in the Halifax area and this car has never been located.

It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation. Investigators are asking anyone with information about Andy or his whereabouts to call police at 902-490-5020. Andy’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes. Callers must contact the Rewards Program at 1-888-710-9090, must provide their name and contact information, and may be called to testify in court. All calls will be recorded. The amount of the award will be based on the investigative value of the information provided.
