Sunday was the second anniversary of the murder of Ryan White and investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continue to investigate the case.

On July 22, 2010, officers responded to the 100 block of Jarvis Lane in Halifax for a report of a shooting. The victim, Ryan White, was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Recently, there has been some progress in this case. On June 29, a search of Needham Park, an area not far from where Ryan was shot, was conducted as a result of new information. On July 6, the case was added to the Nova Scotia’s Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, and last week three people were arrested and questioned in connection with this investigation. Investigators are confident there are people who have information about this incident and urge them to come forward to speak with police.
