Police continue to seek Shilo Beals for murder

Shilo Beals was arrested in New Tecumseth , Ontario on August 27 by the Ontario Provincial Police. He will be returned to Nova Scotia to answer to the charges.

Investigators with the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to seek Shilo Marcino Beals for a 2004 murder.

On July 10, 2004, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting near 5450 Uniacke Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Kevin James Bowser suffering from gunshot wounds in front of 5446 Uniacke Street. Kevin was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued on July 14, 2014 for 31-year-old Shilo Marcino Beals of Cherry Brook. He has been charged with first degree murder and six weapons-related offences. He’s described as a black man, 5’10”, 161 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He’s considered armed and dangerous and members of the public are reminded that they shouldn’t approach him or try to take matters into their own hands.

Investigators have received information suggesting that Shilo Beals has left Nova Scotia and is elsewhere in Canada. They’re asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5020 or their local police department.
