Police Identify the Remains Found in Halifax Harbour this Morning

Halifax Regional Police received a call at 9:17 a.m. after DND personnel observed the body of an adult female on the Halifax shoreline under the MacDonald Bridge. The remains have been positively identified as 31-year-old Robin Armstrong.

Ms. Armstrong was reported missing on January 11. Foul play is not suspected in her death. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Ms. Armstrong at this difficult time.

Halifax Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Halifax woman.

Thirty-one year old Robin Armstrong has not been heard from since yesterday afternoon, January 11, 2013. She failed to return to her residence and has not been in contact with friends or family. Robin is described as a white woman, 6’, 200 lbs.  with long brown hair. There is no clothing description at this time.

There is no evidence to suggest that Robin has met with foul play but there is concern for her well-being. Officers request that Robin or anyone with information on her whereabouts calls police at 490-5020.
