Police investigate armed robbery GO#21-158056

On December 22 just before 2 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Subway located at 5669 Spring Garden Road, Halifax.

It was reported that a suspect entered the location, produced a black handgun and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and the suspect fled the store traveling on foot going westbound on Spring Garden Road. No one was injured in the robbery.

Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located.

Staff described the suspect to police as being a white man with a tattoo on his left hand, who is 5' tall with a thin build who was wearing all black with a mask where only his eyes could be seen.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
