Police investigate assault with a weapon GO #20-3462

On January 8 at 8:20 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured man with a stab wound in the 50 block of Roleika Drive, Dartmouth. Patrol officers along with a Police Service Dog responded and located a 40-year-old man with a non-life-threatening stab wound. Officers conducted a thorough search of the area, but could not locate the suspect. The injured man was transported to the hospital. This incident is not random and both parties are known to each other. Police have identified a suspect and are actively searching for the suspect. There is no suspect description at this time. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.
