Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are looking for two males in connection with an attempted robbery and stabbing that happened in Dartmouth this morning.
At 11:11 a.m., police were called to Jackson Road for a report of a man who had been stabbed. Officers located an 18-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his arm. The victim advised that he was walking in the area when two males approached him and tried to rob him. He advised the males that he didn’t have anything and was subsequently slashed by one of the suspects. The suspects ran from the area on foot towards Victoria Road. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Patrol members contained the area and a K9 track was initiated shortly after the incident but the suspects were not located. The victim and the suspects were not known to each other.
The first suspect is described as a white male, 5’6”, 16- to 20-years-old with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black clothing, black sneakers and had his face covered. The second suspect is described as a light complected black male, 6 ft., 16- to 20-years-old with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black clothing, white sneakers and had his face covered.
