Police investigate bomb threat

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a bomb threat that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At 8:08 a.m., police responded to John W. MacLeod School located at 159 Purcells Cove Road for a bomb threat. Officers arrived on scene and searched the school with the assistance of the K-9 Unit, however, nothing suspicious was located. The start of the school day was delayed as a result of this incident and students were temporarily relocated to Fleming Tower School but were back in their own school shortly after 10:00 a.m.

The investigation into this matter is continuing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
