Police investigate break and enter with firearm Go#19-41263

Update: On March 21 at 6:50 p.m., the second suspect surrendered to police on Roleika Dr., Dartmouth. Police are no longer searching for any further suspects.

Update: At 5:30 p.m., police located the suspect vehicle in the 0-100 block of Roleika Dr., Dartmouth and secured a residence at that location. At 6:30 p.m. the Emergency Response Team located and arrested Suspect 1 inside the residence. Police have released the residence and are still searching for the second suspect. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation which is in the early stages.   

On March 21 at 5 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 200 block of Prince Arthur Rd., Dartmouth. A witness reported two suspects at the residence, one armed with a handgun. The witness disarmed the suspect, as both suspects fled in a black pickup truck. No one was injured during this incident. The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1: white man, mid 20’s, 5’9”-5’11”, 180 lbs, dark hair, clean shaven. Wearing: black hat, black t-shirt, black jacket, gold chain.

Suspect 2: white man, 6’0”, thin build, scruffy facial hair. Wearing: 3/4 parka.

Vehicle - Black Chevrolet Colorado, older model.
