Police investigate car/pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a driver involved in a car/pedestrian collision that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At 11:35 a.m., police responded to a car/pedestrian collision in the 2100 block of Gottingen Street. A 44-year-old man unloading a pickup truck had his foot run over by a vehicle travelling south on Gottingen Street. The pedestrian attempted to gain the attention of the driver but the vehicle did not stop. The man was treated at the scene by EHS for non life-threatening injuries. The driver is described as a white woman in her thirties and the vehicle as a grey Volkswagen Golf with veteran plates.
