Police investigate car/pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run that occurred on February 18 in Halifax.

Around noon, a 42-year-old man was crossing in the 3900 block of Kencrest Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle driving north on Kencrest Avenue. The car did not stop and continued on Kencrest Avenue before turning left on Novalea Drive. The man was not in a crosswalk when the collision occurred. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by a family member shortly after.

The incident was reported to police on February 20 and investigators are looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle. The car is described as a newer white Toyota Echo but there is no description of the driver.
