Police Investigate Dartmouth Robbery

Police are investigating a robbery which occurred January 26 in Dartmouth.

At midnight, a 34-year-old woman was robbed after stepping out of the Celtic Corner bar located at 69 Alderney Drive. The victim left the bar to have a cigarette in a nearby alley where she was approached by a man who was also smoking. The man attempted to pin her against the wall to take her property. The victim fought off the suspect but was punched in the face in the process. The suspect took jewellery from the victim and fled the area on foot. The victim didn’t suffer any injuries and she reported the incident to police on January 27.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5’10”, wearing a black hooded winter jacket. Officers are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 490-5016.
