Update : missing person found deceased

A man who was reported missing to police on April 25 has been located deceased.
Forty-year-old Troy Richter was last seen on April 23 at approximately 4:30 p.m. walking in the area of Rocky Lake Drive in Bedford. At 6:30 a.m. on Sunday April 30, police were called to the area of Shore Drive and Hatchery Lane in Bedford to a report of a deceased man found on the shoreline. An autopsy later confirmed this to be Mr. Richter. Foul play is not suspected.

Halifax Regional Police West Division Units were called to the area of Shore Drive and Hatchery Lane in Bedford to a report of a deceased man found on the shoreline at 6:30 am this morning. Forensic Identification Units were on scene and processed the area. Police are still attempting to positively identify the person and contact family members. Police are not treating this death as suspicious at this time. More information may become available at a later date.
