Officers with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a home invasion that occurred last night in Halifax.
At 9:27 p.m. on Sept. 28, police responded to the 0-100 block of Lynnett Road in relation to a home invasion. Upon arrival, officers learned that two male suspects had fled on foot after forcing their way into an apartment, assaulting the 44-year-old male victim and taking an undisclosed amount of money him. EHS transported the victim to hospital where he was treated and later released.
This is not believed to be a random incident as the victim and suspects are known to one another. The investigation into this matter is on-going.
