Police investigate possible weapons call GO#21-6734

On January 16 at approximately 2:10 p.m., a citizen travelling towards Halifax on the 111 Highway in Dartmouth, reported seeing two black cars travelling next to each other and that an individual from one of the vehicles appeared to have discharged a firearm at the other vehicle, possibly striking it. Both vehicles were last seen on the A. Murray MacKay Bridge travelling towards Halifax.

Currently, there are no reported injuries and police are on scene searching for the vehicles and their occupants. There is no ongoing risk to the public.

The investigation is in preliminary stages and further information will be released when available.
