Police investigate robbery

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred in downtown Halifax.

On August 31 at approximately 4 p.m., the complainant reported to police that on the evening of August 30 a man holding a knife forced him into the ATM lobby of a bank located on George Street and demanded he withdraw money. The complainant withdrew a sum of money and turned it over to the suspect who then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a 20-25-year-old white man, approximately 6’4”, 250 pounds.
