Police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon in Dartmouth.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. on March 6, officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Sobeys Smoke Shop, 210 Wyse Road. A man entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect obtained a package of cigarettes and a quantity of cash. He left the store on foot and was last seen travelling north on Wyse Road. The suspect is described as a white man, 5’10”, average build, wearing a blue toque, black leather jacket, and a grey scarf that covered the bottom half of his face. The employee was not injured and the suspect did not have a weapon.
This matter is in the early stages of the investigation. Members of Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 902-490-5016.
