Police Investigate Robbery
At 11 p.m., on October 12, Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that had just occurred in the 700 block of the Bedford Highway. A male reported a male and female threatened to harm him with scissors and robbed him of his cash and cellular phone. The caller was not injured. Multiple patrol officers responded to the scene.
At 11:28 p.m., patrol officers located and arrested the suspects on the Bedford Highway near Fern Avenue. Incidental to arrest officers located and seized Canadian currency and a cell phone confirmed to belong to the victim. The suspects, a 35-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, both from Bedford, are being held for court and will be facing charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and uttering threats causing bodily harm.
The suspects and victim are known to one another and police are not looking for any other suspects.
