Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery which occurred earlier today in Halifax.

At 1:45 p.m., a 17-year-old male youth walking on a path between Halifax West High School and the Keshen Goodman Public Library was approached by three male youths who demanded his backpack. They knocked the victim to the ground, punched and kicked him. The three suspects fled on foot and did not get anything. The victim suffered facial injuries and was transported to a nearby clinic for treatment

The suspects are described as three black male youths, 15 to 17-years-old, wearing dark clothing. Officers are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 490-5016.
