Police investigate robbery

Halifax Regional Police have located and arrested the second person involved in the robbery reported on December 29 in Dartmouth

A 29-year-old Dartmouth woman has been charged with Robbery and Break & Enter, she remains in police custody at this time.

A 48-year-old Dartmouth man has been charged with Robbery, Break & Enter as well as Assault with a Weapon, he remains in police custody at this time.

Both accused will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court in the morning.

Police are investigating a robbery which occurred earlier today in Dartmouth.

At 12:40 p.m., police responded to The Coastal Inn located at 379 Windmill Road for a report of a robbery. A 50-year-old man staying at the hotel reported that a man and a woman known to him entered his room, threatened him with a hammer and stole his property. The victim was not injured and both suspects fled the area on foot. This was not a random act.

At 1:15 p.m., officers located a 29-year-old female suspect walking in the 200 block of Wyse Road. She was taken in custody and is currently being interviewed. Officers are still looking for the 48-year-old male suspect but have yet to locate him.
