At approximately 4:12 p.m. on December 26, police responded to a robbery in progress at the Needs convenience store located at 6130 Chebucto Road in Halifax. A man entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The man fled the store on foot with an amount of cash. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as a heavy set white man, in his 40s, approximately 5'5" tall. At the time he was wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, black boots, blue toque and a black mask.
The investigation is in the early stages and investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspect or video from the area to contact police at 902-490-5016.
