Police investigate robbery

Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police Patrol Division along with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth this morning.

At approximately 3:52 a.m., two men and a woman entered the Irving located at 626 Windmill Road, in Dartmouth. The suspects went behind the counter and began to fill a bag with packages of cigarettes and demanded the clerk give them money from the till. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount cigarettes, and money. One of the men brandished a hammer, the other man had a needle, while the woman had a knife. The staff member was not injured.

Patrol officers conducted an extensive search and preliminary investigation, but the suspects have not been located at this time.

One of the men was described as wearing a hoody and shorts.
