Police investigate two robberies GO#19-172750 & Go# 19-172756

On December 7 at 3:07 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Harvard Variety Store, 6330 Chebucto Road, Halifax. Staff reported two men wearing masks, one armed with a knife, entered the store demanding cigarettes. The suspects left on foot with an undetermined number of cigarettes in an unknown direction of travel. No one was injured. Patrol officers are actively searching the area, but have not located the suspects. 

On December 7 at 3:29 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a second robbery that had just occurred at Subway, 19 Alma Crescent, Halifax. Staff reported two men wearing masks, one armed with a knife, entered the store demanding money. The suspects left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, in an unknown direction of travel. No one was injured. Patrol officers are actively searching the area, but have not located the suspects.

The suspects in both robberies are described to police as:

  • Suspect one: 5’10’’ tall man with a thin build believed to be between the ages of 25-30 years old. Wearing a black mask, jacket and sweat pants. Armed with a knife.
  • Suspect two: 5’10’’ tall man with a thin build believed to be between the ages of 25-30 years old. Wearing a black mask, jacket and sweat pants.
