On July 24 at 6:20 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle & bicycle collision in the 1400 block of John Bracket Drive, Herring Cove. A 54-year-old woman operating the bicycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the involved vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was not injured.
The investigation is in the early stages and investigators with the Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section are conducting the investigation. At this time it is not known if charges are pending.
Traffic Blocked: Traffic in both direction on John Bracket Drive is blocked and being turned around at Powers Drive and Holy Stone On The Sea Road. Traffic will remain blocked for an extended period of time while investigators process the scene.
