Police investigate vehicle and two men who approached two girls in south end Halifax

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle and two men who approached two children and offered them a drive on Tuesday, January 26. 

Police received a report that on Tuesday between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. two men driving a shiny, dark colored, four door car pulled up beside an 11-year-old girl who was walking to school with a younger girl in the area of Jubilee Road and Vernon Street in Halifax. The front seat passenger rolled down his window and asked the girls if they needed a ride, they refused and the vehicle left the area southbound on Vernon Street. 

The male passenger is described as being in his late 20’s, with long orange hair and an orange beard. There is no description of the driver.  The car is described as shiny, dark in color with four doors. 

Investigators are asking anyone who has any information on this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
