Police investigate Weapons Call GO#21-32090 & 21-32109

On March 17 at 10:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots at Connaught Avenue and Windsor Street, Halifax. Responding officers located evidence that a shooting did take place.

South bound vehicle and pedestrian traffic was blocked on Connaught Avenue between Windsor Street and Chisholm Avenue.

At 10:38 p.m., police were notified that a man with possible gunshot wounds arrived at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with life threatening injuries. The hospital was in lock down.

Investigators from Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are on scene.  The investigation is in the early stages.
