UPDATE: Shortly before 6 a.m., officers reopened the intersection at Highfield Park Drive at Victoria Road Dartmouth.

On July 21 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint in the area of Highfield Park Drive at Victoria Road, Dartmouth.
Several patrol officers attended the area and located the targeted vehicle and confirmed evidence of a recent shooting. The driver and the passenger in vehicle were not injured. The suspect vehicle was no longer in the area.
Investigators with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing. The intersection at Highfield Park Drive at Victoria Road is currently closed in all directions, pending completion of investigation.
