Police investigate weapons complaint GO#21-83190

On July 11 at approximately 7 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a complaint from a motorist that another motorist had pointed a firearm at him near Queen Street and Sackville Street, Halifax.

Members of Patrol were in the area at the time conducting proactive patrols and were “flagged down” by the complainant. He was able to point out the vehicle responsible.

Police stopped the vehicle without incident and took custody of three adults. A replica handgun was located as was a sensory irritant spray and prohibited knife.

A 51-year-old Halifax man was charged with x3 counts of Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public. He was released from police custody with a future Halifax court date of August 30, 2021.

A 34-year-old Halifax woman was charged with x3 counts of Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public. She was released from police custody with a future Halifax court date of August 31, 2021.

A 29-year-old Halifax man was charged with x3 counts of Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public as well as breaching two Release orders. He was subsequently held and scheduled to appear in Halifax court tomorrow morning.

At this point in time, the investigation is still ongoing and further charges may be pending.
