Police investigating assault with a weapon in Halifax

On July 27, at 10:39 p.m., Police responded to the 2100 block of  Barrington Street for a report of a man who had thrown boiling water on another man while he was sleeping. As officers arrived they located a 30-year-old man who had burns to his face and neck area and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 25-year-old suspect fled the scene and officers were unable to locate him at the time of the incident. The investigation is on-going.
