Halifax Regional Police responded to a complaint of an assault on a 9 year old boy at 2:30 p.m. today in the area of Fairwinds Place, Bedford. After speaking with the boy, officers learned he was walking in the area alone when he was approached by a man he didn't know. They had a short exchange which resulted in the man grabbing the boy by the arm. There was a brief struggle before the boy broke away and he ran home. The boy was uninjured, but was shaken by the incident. The man is described as 6’2 with an average build, dark complexion with straight black hair. He was wearing a black/grey baseball hat on backwards with a red, grey and black hoodie with high top red and yellow sneakers. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
