The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is investigating a break and enter that occurred last night in Dartmouth.
At 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a residential break and enter in the 0-100 block of Mount Edward Road. A 25-year-old woman heard a knock at her front door, made her way through the house and observed a man standing in her kitchen holding her purse. She took refuge in a bedroom with her ten-month-old baby and called 9-1-1. The suspect fled through the rear of the residence and witnesses subsequently heard tires squealing from the area of Belle Vista Drive and Stephen Cross Drive but could not provide a description of a vehicle or a direction of travel.
The male suspect is described as approximately 5’9”, with a thin build, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.
