Police Investigating Multiple Tire Slashings

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a number of property damage calls that occurred overnight in Halifax.

Police received numerous complaints from people who had their tires slashed overnight, with a total of twenty vehicles being damaged in Halifax. The incidents took place on Willow, Dublin and Duncan Streets as well as Chebucto Road. As of 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, police were still in the area taking reports.

UPDATE: Later on Sunday, police received an additional three complaints of the same nature. Then on Monday, January 26, Halifax Regional Police received another three complaints of tires being slashed, bringing the total number of incidents to 26. The complaints received late on Sunday and also on Monday are consistent with the previous reports in that they occurred in the Windsor/Willow St., Duncan St., and Chebucto Road areas.
