Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating a report of shots being fired this afternoon in Halifax.
At 3:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Cowie Hill Road and Cowie Hill Connector. Witnesses heard what sounded like multiple shots being fired and then saw two vehicles flee the area at a high rate of speed. At this time, there are no reported injuries and investigators haven’t recovered any evidence to confirm that a shooting occurred.
The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
