Halifax Regional Police is investigating an incident of potential toilet paper tampering in Dartmouth.

On Saturday, August 29 at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a report that two fishhooks had been found inside a toilet paper roll at the Metro Transit Bridge Terminal located at 24 Nantucket Avenue. A male patron located two fishhooks inside a toilet paper roll in a bathroom stall in the men’s washroom at this location. The man turned the fishhooks over to a security officer who advised his supervisor, who then contacted police. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

This appears to be an isolated incident but we ask that anyone who finds any foreign metal objects in toilet paper rolls refrain from throwing out the toilet paper roll or metal object. Please contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5016 so these items can be passed along to investigators.
