Police investigating robbery

Investigators assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a robbery that occurred this afternoon in Halifax.

At 12:21 p.m., officers responded to a convenience store located at 486 Herring Cove Road after a man entered the business, threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money. When the clerk refused to give him anything, the suspect fled the store empty handed and was last seen running on foot towards Sylvia Avenue. The clerk wasn’t physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, wearing sunglasses, a dark grey “Adidas” winter toque with a pompom, a light grey hoodie, and black pants.
