Police Investigating Sexual Assault and Break and Enter

This morning at 5:26 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a 911 call to the 0-100 block of Pondicherry Drive in Dartmouth. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the female occupant of the residence and learned that a man she did not know had entered her residence sometime earlier and forced her to have sexual intercourse. Members of the Forensic Identification Section, as well as Major Crime investigators were called and attended the scene. The victim was transported to the Dartmouth General Hospital where she was examined and later released. Investigators spent most of the day processing evidence and interviewing the victim.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. The suspect is described as a white man, 40-45 years in age, approximately 6’1” and over 220 lbs with short dark hair. He spoke with a growly voice.
