Police Investigating Shooting

 Police are currently on scene of a shooting that took place this afternoon in Dartmouth.

At 12:38 p.m., police responded to a report of multiple shots being fired on Symonds Street. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had been hit by bullets. At least two people are believed to have been in the vehicle when the shots were fired but they weren’t injured. A house was also struck by at least one bullet but investigators don’t believe the house was intentionally targeted. The shots were fired by someone in another vehicle that fled the area prior to police arrival. Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section don’t believe this was a random incident.
