Halifax Regional Police is currently investigating a shooting that took place this afternoon in Halifax.
At 1:34 p.m., police were called to the area of Maynard and Harris Streets for a report of multiple shots being fired. Several people were observed running from the area but at this time there are no reported injuries. Investigators have discovered that a building was struck with multiple bullets but at this time it’s not believed the building was the target of the shots.
Officers from the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section as well as the HRP Forensic Identification Unit are on scene and the investigation is in its early stages.
