Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating a report of shots being fired this afternoon in Halifax.
At 2:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Barrington Street and Cornwallis Street. Witnesses heard what sounded like multiple shots being fired. At this time, there are no reported injuries and investigators are on scene attempting to determine what took place.
The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
